About Cindy

cindyAs a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (MFC 81539), my practice includes adolescents, adults, couples, family, and group therapy. I have experience treating relational problems, addiction, depression, anxiety, self-injury, grief, trauma, and mood disorders.

My specialty is working with adolescents and young adults. We work together to identify and resolve issues such as: low self-esteem, identity confusion, self-injurious behavior (cutting), peer-pressure, substance abuse, bullying, and difficulty with emotional connection.

I believe that effective therapy provides a safe and supportive space for deepening self-awareness, examining emotions, skillfully managing reactions to life circumstances, and building healthy communication within relationships. My goal is to create that environment for every patient.

I obtained a B.A. in psychology from the State University of New York at Albany and went on to complete a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. I’ve worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, including but not limited to: outpatient clinics, a psychiatric urgent care, as well as an adolescent residential treatment facility.

My professional affiliations and memberships include the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (CAMFT), and Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles (GPALA).
